notes"9M133 Kornet-EM Russian 4x4 Anti-Tank Guided Missile (ATGM) Vehicle is an improved version of the 9M133 Kornet ATGM, with increased range, fire-and-forget capability, and an improved warhead. Kornet-EM missiles are chiefly used on the Kornet-D system. Kornet-M missiles are also compatible with standard Kornet man-portable tripod launchers. Introduced in 2012, it is equipped with an automatic target tracker, which essentially turns it into a "fire and forget" missile. The automatic target tracker also makes it jamming-resistant. The “fire and forget” capability allows a vehicle equipped with twin launchers to attack two different targets at once, increasing its rate of fire, decreases the number of vehicles needed for a mission, and can defeat vehicles equipped with an active protection system through salvo fire at one target. The system's use of an auto tracker can make it more effective against low-flying aerial threats like helicopters and unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). Like the Kornet, the Kornet-M is designed to defeat vehicles with explosive reactive armor via a tandem-warhead. There are also Kornet-M variants equipped with thermobaric warheads."

name"Kornet-MR:"
notes"Missile for a man-portable version of the launcher. Range is 2 km, with penetration 1,000 mm. It is unknown if the missile is currently fielded. Kornet-MR is tandem HEAT and HE (thermobaric)."

name"Kornet-EM:"
notes"New ATGM launcher vehicle is based on a Russian Tigr armored 4x4 tactical utility vehicle. Two 4-missile modules jack up thru the roof. An IR auto-tracker gives simultaneous dual-launch LBR ACLOS guidance. The night sight is 3rd gen thermal, for a range of 5+ km. Kornet-EM (Kornet-d) missiles range 8 km for heat, 10 for thermobaric-HE. The tandem heat defeats 1,300 mm of armor. The HE offers a proximity fuse for multi-role use (e.g., against helicopters)."
